Daniel O’Neil is a professional liability defense trial lawyer and partner at Thompson, Coe, Cousins and Irons, LLP. Daniel is an alum of Leadership Houston (Class XLI) and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Houston Bar Foundation, and HYLF. Mayor Turner proclaimed October 1, 2018 “Daniel O’Neil Day” in the City of Houston, honoring his history of volunteer service uplifting and supporting the community’s most vulnerable and disaster impacted families. Daniel regularly serves as a volunteer lawyer with the Texas Legal Services Center and at the Houston Food Bank as a non-legal volunteer.

He also serves as an editor of the ABA’s Insurance Coverage Journal. He enjoys board games, theater, Houston’s food scene, and volunteering with his son, Charlie, at the Food Bank.

Lucy has been with HYLA/HYLF since May 2015. Prior to HYLA/HYLF, she was  with the Houston Bar Association (HBA) for over 30 years.   She enjoys working in the legal community.  Graduate from the University of St. Thomas (Houston) and a native Houstonian. She is married to Greg, tax attorney, and has five children, two cats and a rescued dog.
