Anietie Akpan

Anietie is a Staff Attorney for METRO, where she practices compliance, public information, and transit law. After receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em!), Anietie received her law degree from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, TX. Since joining HYLA in 2016, she has served as a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Generation Generosity Committee, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Day of Service Committee. She is also active in the Houston Bar Association as Editor-in-Chief of The Houston Lawyer. Anietie is incredibly honored to serve as a Trustee for HYLF and looks forward to supporting the Foundation’s efforts to promote Houston’s diverse non-profit and community needs.
