READ TO SUCCEED

The HYLF Read to Succeed program pairs attorneys with elementary school students for a fun-filled hour of reading! Every other Friday during the school year, volunteers virtually read to third-grade classrooms at local elementary schools.

HYLF created this reading initiative based on research showing that a student who cannot read on grade level by the third grade has a greatly diminished likelihood of graduating from high school. The goal of the program is to help young students understand the importance of reading and to learn how reading is imperative to success in school and in life.
